In the last year or so, we’ve seen how Adidas collabs aren’t going as hard as they should. With partnerships ending and new ones emerging, some are as solid as rocks. Of course, we’re talking about Pharrell’s longstanding relationship with the three stripes. And this spring, the partners are taking a very colorful approach to one of Adidas’ classics. So, let’s take a look at the upcoming Humanrace Pharrell Adidas Samba colorways, shall we?
Although the Adidas Pharrell partnership is pretty old, they never collaborated on the Sambas. And well, we all know how the Adidas Samba made quite the comeback in the last couple of years! So, it only made sense for the two longtime partners to drop a signature Samba. That’s why in November 2022 we got the pretty stylish take on the silhouette by Pharrell!
With the dramatic tongue in place, the kicks looked like stuff influencers would rock. The kicks dropped in two basic colorways, black and white with gum midsoles. And if you wanna get your own pair, you can find them on resale platforms. Mind you, they’re quite affordable! But if you’re one for the bold ones, the upcoming Pharrell Adidas Samba colorways will fit your personality better.
Remember the Adidas Superstar craze? The one where Pharrell took the silhouette and dropped in every color on the spectrum? Yeah well, looks like we’re gonna get it in Samba form in 2023! There are multiple differences when it comes to these babies. First off, they’re ditching the suede in favor of a full-on leather upper. Second, the kicks will be monochromatic, including the sole unit. And third, the kicks will have the signature extended tongue. That last bit is an obvious nod to the silhouette’s football history!
The collaborative kicks will be available in five colorways for the public so far: Yellow, Orange, Pink, Lilac, and Red. However, the friends and family kicks will be green! So if green is your favorite color, tough luck! These babies pre-launched exclusively for the Virginia Beach community at Pharrell’s Something in the Water Festival from April 28 to 30. However, the global launch will happen on May 6, 2023. You can find the kicks on the Humanrace website, Adidas, and select retailers.
However, if you’re not one for colors, the Pharrell Adidas Samba still got you covered. Three more colorways will drop later, and they’re the basic Charcoal, White, and Terracotta.
