A pair of sneakers can be hype for many reasons, and we already discussed that here. But some sneaker drops, especially the ones that are less famous, can be forgotten. So today, we would like to share the experimental side of Jordan Brand! How? Obviously through the interesting Jordan hybrids, to say the least. Some of these pass the vibe check, while others should be a crime to sneakers. Without further ado, here are all the weird Air Jordan mish-mashes!

The Jordan Hybrids We Actually Like
There’s a saying that goes like “If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” It’s Jordan Brand though, and they can’t help getting creative with their releases. However, the brand’s tinkering certainly gave us some cool kicks. If you’re wondering what they are, then you gotta keep going!
Jordan Dub Zero
The silhouette originally came out in 2005… and boy were the 2000s some wild years for the sneaker industry. Jordan Dub Zero was the first of a long list of Jordan hybrids to come. Anyway, Jordan Brand decided to mix some of the popular, and less popular, silhouettes. And somehow, this mix worked! The silhouettes they used for inspiration were AJ4, 6, 11, 12, 13, 15, 17, and 20.

Jordan Spiz’ike
Y’all did not experience Air Jordans for real if you’re not familiar with Mars Blackmon. Spike Lee’s character and his famous “It’s gotta be the shoes!” became pop culture moments! In fact, this is one of the most memorable Jordan commercials, so it makes sense to pay tribute to it through kicks. And well, 2006’s Jordan Spiz’ike (Spike + Mike) is the perfect silhouette for it. It’s a mashup of AJ3, 4, 5, 6, and 20. The choice of silhouettes is spot-on since those are the ones we associate with Mars Blackmon the most!

Jordan Hybrids That Should Be a Criminal Offense
So yes, Jordan Brand almost always gives us hot silhouettes. However, the following kicks are the reason we said almost. Mind you, these are some dope additions to a sneaker collection, and they could be your cup of tea! That’s also subjective, especially when it comes to styling your Jordans.
Jordan 6 Rings
Well, the name is self-explanatory, wouldn’t you think? Jordan Brand chose to pay tribute to all seven sneakers MJ wore during his journey to the championships in 2008. The best way to do that? Mix all the championship sneakers together in one pair: the 6 Rings. Let’s be real here, the concept is awesome, but the execution? Not so much.
Jordan 2.5 Team
We’re gonna put this simply. Jordan 2.5 team is Jordan 2 and 3 going through an identity crisis. And if we’re honest, people aren’t fans of Jordan 2 in the first place, let alone a hybrid of it. The only redeeming quality of this silhouette is the cool stitching and the elephant print. Anyway, these kicks dropped back in 2008 and didn’t make a comeback yet… for a reason.
Jordan Son of Mars
Son of Mars was a great attempt at a follow-up to the Spiz’ike. However, there’s so much going on here that it looks pretty overwhelming. It’s a nice pair to add to your collection next to the Spiz’ike if you have it, or if you like to stand out from a mile away. No shame in that! After all, everyone has a different taste, and 2012’s Jordan Son of Mars could be it for many.
Jordan Sixty Plus
Another “encore” from JB is Jordan Sixty Plus. The kicks are also a follow-up to the 6 Rings silhouette! And we personally didn’t like those very much, to begin with, so you can imagine what we think about 60+. However, we gotta appreciate the concept behind the 2009 kicks, which is all the times MJ scored 60+ points during a game. Naturally, the mash-up includes the silhouettes he laced on during these games: AJ1, 2, 5, and 7! You know, gotta give credit where it’s due.
