You see, Ant-Man is a nickname that Edwards carried since he was three, as a family tradition. His dad gave each of the Edwards children a special nickname. This kinda makes sense since they all share similar names: Antony, Antoine, Antoinette, and Anthony… yep. But the nickname stuck beyond his personal life, and fans refer to the player as Ant, which is short for Ant-Man.
Now, fast forward to the 2020 NBA draft, in which Anthony Edwards was the first pick. Then, Adidas snagged the rookie and signed him! Fast forward three years, and Edwards got his first signature pair, the Adidas AE1. So, let’s take a look at how Adidas impressed the industry with these babies!
Before the end of September 2023, Adidas unveiled the signature basketball kicks. And let us tell you, the Adidas AE1 is quite the looker! These babies feature a very futuristic design that will certainly turn heads when you step on the court. The upper features a knit base and TPU overlays with interesting perforations for ventilation. But the icing on the cake that makes these kicks stand out is the Boost cushioning for extra comfort. So far, the kicks will be available in black/white, black/orange, and salmon colorways.
The black and orange Adidas AE1 “With Love” will drop on December 16, 2023, and will retail for $120. It replied, in a since-gone reply, by saying “U dusty bouta retire soon anyway.” But then, they said “meant to send that from the burner account…” This is a direct stab at claims that KD uses a burner account, which was a drama by itself.
