Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Delta Reign Cards Release News

Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Delta Reign goes on sale worldwide on November 6, 2026, with Mega Rayquaza ex as its headliner. The Pokémon TCG announcement says the set has over 135 cards, including more than 20 Trainer cards and more than 35 with special illustrations. Select Play! Pokémon Stores begin selling Build & Battle Boxes for prerelease play on October 24, 2026. At list price, a Booster Bundle costs $26.94 and an Elite Trainer Box costs $49.99, per the distributor listing covered in the buying section below.

  • Prerelease events start October 24, and the digital release on Pokémon TCG Live is November 5, according to Bleeding Cool.
  • A later Pokémon.com preview says the set holds more than 140 cards, up from the over-135 figure at announcement.
  • PHD Games lists a 36-pack booster display at $161.64.
  • That works out to $4.49 a pack (our arithmetic: $161.64 ÷ 36).

When Does Delta Reign Come Out?

Delta Reign has a staggered launch: prerelease play first, a digital release the day before, then the physical release. Pokémon.com gives November 6, 2026, as the release date. Pokémon TCG Live players get the set a day earlier, on November 5. CardRake puts the prerelease window from October 24 to November 1, and the official playable date is November 20, 2026.

Which Cards Headline Delta Reign?

Mega Rayquaza ex is the card the whole set is built around. TCGPlayer reports it is the first Mega Rayquaza in the game since XY: Ancient Origins. Pokémon.com names Mega Golurk ex, Mega Malamar ex, and Mega Golisopod ex as the other Mega Evolution Pokémon ex.

Pokémon.com’s own previews show some of the supporting cast. Hypno (DLR 44) by debut artist Yuta Kawazu has an attack that deals 20 damage for every card in your opponent’s hand. A second preview covers Heat Rotom ex, Delibird, and Zinnia’s Trust. Bulbapedia expects the set to carry cards from the Japanese Storm Emeralda expansion.

What Are Legendary Stadium Cards?

Legendary Stadiums are Stadium cards that you play as a pair. TCG Player describes them as similar to old Pokémon LEGEND cards. Siliconera says the set has six of them, which make three Stadiums, and that a pack with one half also holds its match. The arithmetic is simple: 6 cards ÷ 2 halves = 3 Stadium effects.

Pokémon.com’s preview describes Aarune as a Supporter that fetches up to three Supporter and Stadium cards in any mix, which helps assemble Legendary Pyroduct. The open question is how a pair interacts with the usual one-Stadium rule, and we will update this section once the rules text is public.

How Many Cards Are in Delta Reign, and How Rare Are They?

Delta Reign has between 135 and 140 or more cards, depending on when you ask Pokémon.com. The August 20 announcement said over 135. A later card preview said more than 140. Pokémon.com does not explain the gap, so we would quote the range until the checklist is final.

Bulbagarden lists these rarity counts. We have not added them up because groups such as ex cards and ultra rares may overlap in how the checklist counts them.

Category Cards
Mega Evolution Pokémon ex 4
Pokémon ex 6
Illustration rare Pokémon 14
Ultra rare Pokémon and Trainer cards 17
Special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards 6

What Comes in Each Delta Reign Product?

The set ships in the usual spread, from single packs to full cases. Contents differ in ways that matter for value.

  • Elite Trainer Box: 9 packs and a full-art Kyogre promo, according to NerdSnack. TrackaLacker adds 65 sleeves, dice, and counters.
  • Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box: NerdSnack counts 11 packs in this version. Bulbagarden says the extra content is two packs and a Kyogre promo with a Pokémon Center logo.
  • Build & Battle Box: four booster packs, a 40-card ready-to-play deck, and one of four foil promos. ICv2 names the promos as Masquerain, Magmortar, Enamorus, and Kommo-o.
  • Booster Bundle: six packs, per PHD Games.
  • Booster display: Pokeguardian lists both 18-pack and 36-pack displays.

How to Buy Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Delta Reign?

Buying Delta Reign well comes down to three numbers: list price, cost per pack, and what resellers are asking. The pattern is familiar if you’ve been in either the collectible or sneaker industry. Check official channels first, do a comparison against retail, and have patience when the aftermarket runs hot.

How Much Does Each Delta Reign Product Cost?

List prices come from distributor case prices, which we divided by units. PHD Games lists a 36-pack booster display at $161.64, an Elite Trainer Box case of 10 at $499.90, a Booster Bundle case of 25 at $673.50, and a Build & Battle display of 10 at $219.90. NerdSnack gives $59.99 for the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box.

Product List price Packs Per Pack (our calculations)
Booster Bundle $26.94 6 $4.49
Booster display $161.64 36 $4.49
Elite Trainer Box $49.99 9 $5.55
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box $59.99 11 $5.45
Build & Battle Box $21.99 4 $5.50

The bundle matches the display’s per-pack rate for a sixth of the outlay. An Elite Trainer Box’s 9 packs at the bundle rate would cost $40.41, leaving $9.58 for the promo, sleeves, and dice (our arithmetic). The Build & Battle Box also includes a deck, so its per-pack figure is only a rough guide. TrackaLacker lists $159.99 for the display and $24.99 for the bundle, so sources differ slightly.

Where Can You Buy Delta Reign at Retail Price?

Start with official storefronts and your local game store, then check the large retailers. Stock and prices change by seller, so confirm each listing yourself.

  • Pokémon Center: It opened preorders for displays, Elite Trainer Boxes, and bundles, and the first wave sold out almost immediately. The six-pack Booster Bundle page is the official listing. CardRake reports a preorder limit of two on the exclusive Elite Trainer Box.
  • Play! Pokémon Stores: These select stores sell Build & Battle Boxes from October 24, and the box returns at launch for anyone who misses prerelease.
  • Large retailers: NerdSnack says Amazon and Best Buy both carry official Elite Trainer Box listings. TrackaLacker lists GameStop in preorder and expects Target, Walmart, Costco, and Sam’s Club to sell mostly in the release window.

Should You Pay Preorder Resale Prices?

We would not. Resale preorder prices sit far above list, and history suggests they can fall. NerdSnack’s October 13 snapshot found each Delta Reign product trading well above list, shown below.

Product List price Preorder market, Oct 13 Multiple of list (our math)
Elite Trainer Box $49.99 $121.76 2.4x
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box $59.99 $457.21 7.6x
Booster display $161.64 $249.26 1.5x
Booster Bundle $26.94 $73.31 2.7x

The same article reports that Pitch Black preorder prices fell between 32 and 80 percent within ten weeks of release. That is one set, not a rule. Retailer pricing also varies: a guide from Marching Dogs about six weeks ago put most retailers at $69.99 for the Elite Trainer Box and GameStop at $90. For singles, CardRake suggests waiting three to four weeks, since top Japanese Storm Emeralda prices dropped steeply after launch.

What Is a Sensible Plan for Buying Delta Reign?

A calm plan beats a rushed one. Here is the order we would follow:

  1. Pick the product by per-pack cost. Use the table above to choose between bundle, display, and Elite Trainer Box.
  2. Check official channels first. Look at Pokémon Center, your local game store, and the big retailers listed above.
  3. Compare every price against list. Anything near $26.94 for a bundle or $49.99 for an Elite Trainer Box is at list.
  4. Try prerelease if you want early access. Ask local stores about Build & Battle Boxes from October 24.
  5. Set restock alerts and stay patient. Our retail bot guide explains all the mechanics if a retailer runs one.
  6. Buy singles later. Check card prices a few weeks after November 6.

And If All Fails?

Well, you should look into automating the whole process. Our Pokémon bot guide covers everything from A to Z if you wanna start your collectible journey.

Is Delta Reign the Sixth or Seventh Mega Evolution Set?

Delta Reign is the sixth main expansion set in the Pokémon TCG Mega Evolution Series (set code ME06), though it is sometimes counted as the seventh if you include the special set ME02.5. It launches on November 6, 2026, and is headlined by Mega Rayquaza ex.

Is Delta Reign the Next Evolving Skies?

Evolving Skies is the Sword & Shield set many collectors rate as that era’s best, and Delta Reign invites the comparison. Wargamer notes Evolving Skies arrived shortly before the 25th anniversary set, while Delta Reign follows the 30th anniversary release.

That piece ran before any Delta Reign card art had been shown. Since then, Pokémon.com has previewed several cards, but we need the full checklist and early pull reports before naming chase cards.
