These New Balance 550 Colorways Have 2000s Vibes to Them!

If you’re aware of New Balance’s rise in popularity, then you know that the 550s plays a huge part. This silhouette is famous for its simple color blocking and lifestyle fits. However, New Balance apparently went into 2024 to break all the stereotypes. How? Well, by dropping two of the most colorful kicks, and they’re 550s! In fact, the two New Balance 550 colorways are such a 2000s throwback that the millennial in us is screaming. So, let’s jump into today’s kicks and everything you should know about them, shall we?

New Balance 550 Colorways – Is Patent Leather a Hit or Miss?

So, you know how patent leather is a pretty controversial choice of material on kicks. You see, it works perfectly on the Air Jordan 11 and some iterations of the Jordan 1. However, it’s a tricky territory to step on when the kicks are as tame as the New Balance 550. So, it’s a pretty bold move for the brand to drop the two New Balance 550 colorways in patent leather! Now, the first colorway is certainly the star of the show with its bold color blocking.

You see, the kicks feature a fully patent upper with a mix of green, yellow, and pink! Even the sole unit is a mix of hot pink and yellow. Now, if you feel like this is a familiar colorway, that’s because it is! Such mixes of colors were very popular in the 2000s on windbreakers which were also very popular. Well… if you were there, then you definitely know what we’re talking about.

The second colorway on our hands is a little bit simpler than the first. With this one, the upper comes in a popping mix of light blue, pink, red, and brown. Finally, its midsole is a mix of light blue and brown! So, all in all, these two colorways are giving the same vibe that NIGO’s BAPE kicks had!

What We Know About the Kicks

We can expect the two New Balance 550 colorways to drop sometime in Summer 2024. The kicks will retail for $150, and they might just be worth the investment if they’re exclusive enough. Now, if you’re interested in investing in sneakers, yesterday was the best time to do it. And the second best time is today! But to do that, you should know how to buy sneakers in retail. So, how can you actually do that when the industry is as competitive as it is today?

Well, we have the perfect answer for you, and that would be sneaker bots! If you’re not familiar with sneaker botting, you’ll wanna check this out. But if you already are, then you probably wanna find the best one out there for ya. And what’s better than an all-in-one bot that supports all the sneaker sites and apps that matter? Luckily for you, NSB3 is a kickass Shopify bot, Nike SNKRS bot, and much more! So, make sure you grab your key today to join in on the action. Godspeed!
