Third Yeezy Wave Canceled – Does That Mean No More Yeezys?

The year is turning out to be much different than everyone’s expectations. And when it comes to the Yeezy saga, nobody knows how things would unfold. This time though, the decision came as a reaction to an international issue. However, the decision to cancel the third Yeezy wave comes down to the origin: Kanye and his outbursts. Even after the end of the Kanye x Adidas deal, the brand is still facing repercussions. You see, the public won’t forget any time soon, and that could be bad for business! So, if you wanna know more about all of this, read on.

Adidas Cancels the Third Yeezy Wave of 2023

So, rumors of the Yeezy Wave 3 went around in the last couple of months following the August drop. And while everything was semi-confirmed, Adidas didn’t say anything. However, with everything going down in the Middle East, the brand decided to pull the plug on the drops. This decision is especially important for the brand after the controversial comments that Kanye made in 2022. You see, these comments led to a public backlash and to Ye losing all his deals with many brands including Adidas.

Now, after a little while, Adidas decided to cut its losses and release the remaining Yeezys. And well, the losses were gonna be big unless they did something. But unfortunately for Adidas, it seems like fate won’t let them finish the job. But now, according to Complex, Adidas canceled the “Aurora 3” drop indefinitely. Apparently, Aurora 3 was the codename for the third Yeezy wave. Now, the reason behind this pause is allegedly to avoid another backlash… and we know the brand can’t afford another one in the span of 12 months. Now, another question poses itself. Is that the last we’re gonna see of Yeezys?

Yeezys No More for… Good?

With everything going down, the Yeezy waves were like a breath of fresh air for sneakerheads. However, with this latest cancellation, we started wondering whether there will be no more Yeezys. Now, this is all probable, but Adidas wouldn’t miss the chance to drop kicks that are for sure gonna sell out. In other words, we can probably expect the remaining Yeezys to come back in 2024 or so. Until then, you can keep an eye out for the coolest releases on our blog!

And when the time comes, you should be ready to cop Yeezys with a good sneaker bot. Don’t worry though, NSB is the only all-in-one bot that you’ll ever need.
