Kanye West is truly a peculiar person, even when naming the sneakers he designs! He obviously draws inspiration from all the elements we can find in nature. Which is probably fitting since most of the colorways are nude and earth-like tones. However, the pair that we’re actually very very excited about is the upcoming Yeezy 380 Mist! So let’s see what the Mist is all about and take a trip down the earthy memory lane.
So first, we went into another galaxy with the Alien that was initially going to be the Yeezy 350 V3. And now, the Yeezy 380 Mist features an olive and tan Primeknit upper that sits on top of the usual Boost midsole. Tan laces complement the upper design, along with the kinda translucent gum outsole!
The reflective version of the kicks already dropped on February 29, 2020. However, the non-reflective Yeezy 380 Mist is dropping almost a month later on March 25, 2020. The kicks will retail for $230, that’s $20 cheaper than the reflectives! However, if you’re copping to flip, the kicks are reselling for an average of $428. That’s some pretty good cash!
Clay and Cloud White: No need to explain those, but these 350 colorways were true to every bit of the names!
Marsh: A marsh is an area that is always wet, aka swamp. That explains a lot, doesn’t it?
Flax: The Flax is a yellow flower that gives us the flax seeds! Although the colorway is a bit paler than the real deal, Kanye still managed to get the point across.
Earth: Does it really need any explanation? The kicks are as earthy as kicks can get!
Desert Sage: Desert Sage is a plant that grows in hot areas. So that’s a double meaning right there!
Cinder: Cinder is the rock that remains when lava solidifies. So if you can’t handle the heat, these kicks are not for you.
Linen: The linen plant is actually the plant behind the fabric, and guess what the flower’s color is? Blue, just like the sock liner of the kicks.
Stone: Ye even went as far as replacing the mesh with neoprene panels to make the kicks true to their name! But really, it was weirdly a very nice and fitting change.
Slate: Another type of rock, again! The bluish-purple rocks can be split into flat plates. The choice of color makes sense now honestly.
Geode: A Geode is a cavity inside rocks that has crystals. So our guess here is that Kanye went for the outside look of the rocks for this colorway!
Tephra: This time, we’re back to the volcano! Tephras are rock particles that volcanos eject during an eruption. The fragments can have different colors that Kanye managed to squeeze into one colorway!
And if you wanna take a look at the rest of the colorways, read this!
So obviously, somebody is spending way too much time outdoors. That’s why he should probably dress accordingly! And if we know Kanye, the Yeezy 380 Mist and Alien are just the beginning of a long line of colorways. We just have to wait and see! Meanwhile, if you missed the reflective drop, you better get your bot ready for action on the 25th!
