Jordan 3 Wizards – A Celebration of Two Short Seasons

We love us some 2000s energy, and it seems like Jordan Brand does too! You see, the summer 2023 Jordan lineup got no chill and we love that. Whether you’re into retros, new colorways, or a modern colorway of a retro, there’s something for you. And today, we’re gonna take a look at a tribute to a time in MJ’s career that many disregard. So, here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming Jordan 3 Wizards! If you still don’t have it on your sneaker radar, now’s the time to add it there.

Michael Jordan and the Wizards Era

If you’re remotely familiar with Michael Jordan’s legacy, you’re probably aware that he retired three times. The first time was in 1993 after securing the first three-peat and the passing of his father. That retirement lasted a bit under 2 years, and then he was back to snag a second three-peat with the Chicago Bulls. After that, MJ retired for a second time from the Bulls post-1998 NBA season. That decision was strengthened with Phil Jackson leaving and management trouble. You can learn all about that if you watch Netflix’s The Last Dance!

Fast forward to January 2000, and MJ became the Washington Wizards president of basketball operations and a minority owner. But that wasn’t enough, because, in 2001, Jordan came back to the NBA as a player on the Wizards team. He joined the team for two seasons, until his final retirement in 2003. Though his game wasn’t the same as it was with the Bulls, MJ still managed to drop some impressive numbers. And now, we’re celebrating these two seasons with the upcoming Jordan 3 Wizards!

Jordan 3 Wizards – A Magical Colorway!

The upcoming Jordan 3 Wizards looks exactly the way you would expect it to do. It looks just like the 2001 Jordan PE that everyone went nuts over. We’ve got the classic white leather base and the signature elephant print on the mudguards! And then, the midsole, eyelets, and sockliners feature signature Wizards blue. Moreover, the other half of the eyelets and the Jumpman on the tongue will come in copper! So all in all, it’s a true retro that basketball and sneaker fans alike should vibe with!

Everything We Know About Jordan 3 Wizards

Jordan 3 Wizards will drop on April 29, 2023, and will retail for $210. Although this sounds like a lot, it’s totally worth it. In fact, these babies are currently worth $350 on average in resale.
