And Africa didn’t miss a beat because Shelflife opened its doors in Cape Town, South Africa, in 2006. The second brick-and-mortar store opened 10 years later in Johannesburg, South Africa. Shelflife’s style also comes from Graffiti and street art. So mash this all up, and you’ve got a unique identity that landed the store in Nike’s Tier 0! Mind you, this marks the first collab with an Africa-located brand, and that’s a big deal in the sneaker culture.
