Will the New NDPD 1100 °C Kicks Trigger a New Nike Lawsuit?

Just when you think that Nike is through with all the legal drama, a new one potentially pops up. If you wanna find out what we’re talking about, here are some of the biggest Nike lawsuits! And now, there might be an upcoming fiery lawsuit with the new NDPD 1100 °C sneakers. Read on to find out why we think the hot kicks won’t sit well with the Swoosh! After all, Nike has no chill when it comes to rules. The latest retailer rules they released are proof enough, and you can check them out here. Now, let’s dig into the spicy release, shall we?

NDPD – New Directions to the Parallel Dimension

Very trippy name for a brand, isn’t it? Yea well, it gets even better! The new brand seems to be based in Singapore because of the coordinates in the brand’s Instagram bio. And well, it seems like it digs the multiverse concept. In other words: If we were in a different universe, these kicks or items would exist as the norm! It’s a concept that everyone is familiar with and has an interest in. So, let’s see why the NDPD 1100 °C is the pair of choice!

NDPD 1100 °C – Flamin’ Hot Kicks!

According to the brand’s description, the new NDPD kicks came from the year 2333. But they seem to come back from the 1980s if you catch our drift… To be specific, they seem to be from the year 1984, when the Jordan 1 silhouette came out. Even the colorway looks the same as the classic Chicagos.

You know, white base, red overlays, and black swoosh. But instead of the swoosh, we have a black flame. On the high tops, we have the same flame instead of the Wings logo. Meanwhile, the lows feature NDPD on the soles, just like the Air Force 1! So call it a mishmash, because that’s what it is.

Will These Babies See the Light of Day?

Well, so far, the brand seems to be going along with the launch. In fact, only 50 pairs of high and low tops exist for purchase. They’ll be available starting April 8, 2023, at Sneakertopia at the ArtScience Museum in Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. The shocker though is that the kicks will retail for $700. So, it seems like NDPD know what they’re doing when it comes to hype. Will the brand manage to become the next MSCHF? It certainly seems to be following the same steps!

And if NDPD is serious about that, they probably should be ready to face the backlash MSCHF and others faced. You can’t really expect to almost copy one of Nike’s money-making pairs and not have repercussions. So, it’s really a matter of time, unless the Swoosh decides that 50 pairs aren’t worth paying their lawyers overtime money. In the meantime, check out our blog for more sneaker drama because there’s always some tea to spill!
