And that was when amazing packs and kicks started dropping. For example, the Nike Shima Shima pack in 2003 became a highly sought-after, even today. The pack included an Air Max 1, Air Trainer 1, and Nike Dunk High. Unfortunately, it was a Japan and Canada exclusive, so the kicks were very rare. In fact, the 2003 Air Max 1 Shima Shima is worth $512 on average in resale today!
We said it once, and we’ll say it twice: 2023 is a good year for sneakerheads. This applies to Air Max collectors because the Air Max 1 Shima Shima is coming back with a tweak. 2023’s installation is a bit toned down compared to the original mashup of different shades of brown. The upper will feature a mix of white, grey, and brown while the midsole is white. Details like the striped sockliner and Japanese text in Kanji lettering are still there though, so there’s that.
You can expect Nike Air Max 1 Shima Shima to drop on March 10, 2023, and retail for $160. And if it’s anything like its predecessor, the kicks are gonna be worth your while!
