Nike Mac Attack Is Back with a Hot Marketing Campaign!

If Jordans are the coolest retros and AF1s the first retros, then the Mac Attacks are the latest ones. The Nike Mac Attack is finally making its retro debut. And the faces Nike chose to bring them back? None other than Travis Scott and John McEnroe. So today, we’re gonna check out the upcoming retro and why you’ll wanna have it. And if you’re looking for more sneaker and sneaker botting news, our blog has your back! Now, let’s dig in, shall we?

Nike Mac Attack – The Ultimate Tennis Shoe

Good sneaker things happened throughout the 1980s, and we totally stand by that. You don’t believe us? Well, 1982 gave us the Air Force 1, and 1984 gave us the Air Jordan 1! Let’s not forget 1985 and the Nike Dunks. See where this is going? The Nike Mac Attack also dropped in 1984 to cater to a whole other sport. While the three silhouettes we mentioned were originally basketball kicks, Nike didn’t limit itself to that. Au Contraire, the Swoosh was signing athletes from different sports, including tennis. The man of choice turned out to be none other than John McEnroe!

Who Is John McEnroe?

John Patrick McEnroe Jr. is an American professional tennis player and Hall of Famer. Although he was famous for his volleying skills, his notorious confrontational behavior was also a signature. This frequently brought him trouble with tennis officials and authorities. But well, it also got him a Nike partnership since Nike definitely likes its controversial figures. Anyway, the athlete got his own sneaker: the Nike Mac Attack! From the state-of-art design to the colorway that conformed to NTL regulations, the kicks were a success.

The Nike Mac Attack Drops the Mac in 2023?

For the first time in almost 40 years, the Swoosh is bringing back the OG Nike Mac Attack in all its black and grey glory. However, since McEnroe no longer has a deal with Nike, the 2023 Retro will drop the Mac from its name. We’ll all still call it the Mac Attack though… Anyway, despite the lack of a contract, that didn’t stop Nike from bringing McEnroe himself to star in its campaign. Alongside Travis Scott, it’s the perfect mix of athleticism and hype!

Release Info

So, according to the latest news, Nike Mac Attack will make its comeback on June 23, 2023. These babies will retail for $120, and they’re worth about $226 in resale. So that makes them totally worth running a sneaker bot for them. But if that’s not your jam, Nike is planning on more releases and colorways! One of these collabs is the upcoming Social Status Mac Attack colorways. You can check them out here! Godspeed.
