So before Michael Jordan became a household name during his NBA days, he was a student at UNC. And from 1981 to 1984, he plates as a guard with UNC’s Tar Heels. Of course, he caught coach Deam Smith’s attention since his high school days at E. A. Laney High School. If we’re real here, MJ certainly didn’t disappoint during his college years. That led to an NBA draft with the Chicago Bulls in 1984! And well, the rest is history (for real).

Of course, Jordan Brand made sure to give Jordan’s life pre-NBA the attention it deserves. In fact, many Air Jordan silhouettes got the UNC treatment, and now Jordan 5 UNC is joining the lineup! The sneakers feature a UNC blue nubuck upper, laces, lace-lock, and insides. Meanwhile, the tongue remains as reflective as ever with a black Jumpman logo on there. Now, the midsole is black, but the shark teeth design will be white with blue speckles. Finally, the look is complete with icy outsoles, just the way we like them!
