IMAP Setup – NSB Guide

What Is IMAP?

IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. It is a standard email protocol used by email clients (like Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird) to retrieve messages from a mail server.

Do I Need IMAP?

IMAP is not required to run NSB, but it can make things a lot easier.

Some sites, like Nike or PopMart, send you a code (OTP) by email when you’re logging in or creating accounts. If you don’t set up IMAP, you’ll need to check your email and copy the code manually every time.

With IMAP added to NSB, this process becomes automatic. NSB can fetch the code from your email and insert it for you, saving time and effort, especially when dealing with multiple accounts.

How To Set Up IMAP?

For Gmail:

Step 1: Log into your Gmail account that will receive your emails.

Step 2: Go to: https://myaccount.google.com/security and click on “2-Step Verification”.

Follow the steps to turn it on using your phone number or Google Authenticator.

Once done, click on “Turn On 2-Step Verification”.

Step 3: Once 2-Step is enabled, go back to: https://myaccount.google.com/security, search for “app passwords” and click the first option.

Step 4: Give the app password a name (NSB, reselling, IMAP, botting, etc…).

Step 5: Once done, a pop-up will appear with 16 characters. This is your IMAP password.

Now all you have to do is to use the Gmail and IMAP password in NSB.

How To Use IMAP In NSB?

Nike:

When adding your accounts in Accounts tab, use this format:

EMAIL:PASSWORD:IMAPEMAIL:IMAPPASSWORD

EMAIL:PASSWORD:IMAPEMAIL:IMAPPASSWORD:CVV

PopMart:

When creating your task using generator mode, click login and add the IMAP email and IMAP password in their respective fields.

Which Emails Are Supported?

Gmail, Outlook, Hotmail, Yahoo, Zoho, Webde, iCloud, gmx, xyz.

If you would like us to add support for a different domain, feel free to reach out to us on discord.

How To Setup XYZ IMAP?

XYZ account providers will only give you XYZ IMAP username and password without giving you access to the actual XYZ email. We have full support for XYZ IMAPs, you just have to properly format them when entering into NSB. The only thing you need to do is to append @thexyzstore.com to your XYZ IMAP username.

For Nike, the format will become:

NikeEmail:NikePassword:XYZImapUsername@thexyzstore.com:XYZImapPassword

For example: nsbcookshard@outlook.com:ifykyk:kg4w421ro2@thexyzstore.com:iGf534aK024u1k

For PopMart, simply add the XYZ email and password in the IMAP fields.
