What Is a Secret Rare Labubu?

A Secret Rare Labubu (also called a chase) is a figure that does not appear on the official packaging of a blind box series. They’re inserted at random, with very low odds. Often 1 in 72 or even 1 in 144 boxes. And usually feature unique designs, finishes, or colorways.

Because of their rarity and element of mystery, they’re highly collectible and fetch high resale prices. Sometimes reaching hundreds of dollars above retail!

Secret Rare Labubu or a Straight Fake

Because secret rare Labubus don’t appear on the box or official card inserts, faking them is surprisingly easy. And it happens more often than you’d think. Since most collectors have never seen one in person, and because there are very few real ones circulating, it becomes difficult to legit check them. Scammers often take advantage of this by customizing or repainting common figures to resemble “secret” versions. Then selling them online as rare pulls. Without a side-by-side comparison or official references, many buyers fall for it. Especially when the figure is sealed or claimed to be from overseas. That’s why it’s essential to only buy from trusted sellers and always verify packaging details, seller history, and product markings.
