Air Jordan 4 Raptor Drop This Weekend Without Drizzy’s Signature

Toronto will never be the same after what is known as the “Drake Effect”. The former Nike Jordan Brand collaborator brought hype to his hometown Toronto and to its B-ball team, the Toronto Raptors. Drake was supposedly working on an OVO Air Jordan 4 Raptor with Jordan Brand, but official images show the shoe without Drizzy’s signature.

Drake Leaving Nike?

There were an array of rumors that OVO star, Drake, and Jordan Brand were done. During the most controversial time when these rumors were at large, Drake was wearing all Adidas and no Nike. However, since Travis Scott’s Sicko Mode, it’s been confirmed that OVO-Jordan Brand bond is still tight, and Drake is going nowhere.

The possibility that Drake and Nike tied the knot again can be true due to Drake’s beef with Push-T. When Pusha-T released the diss-track, the Story of Adidon, the world thought Drake’s Adidas deal was confirmed. However, Adidas may want to stay out of any drama related to Drake, his son, and Pusha-T.

All of this could have caused Drake’s Adidas deal to falter. Either way, the Air Jordan 4 Raptor will not drop including Drake’s signature.

Air Jordan 4 Raptor

Although already a loved sneaker, the Air Jordan 4 is gaining in popularity this year. Ever since the Cactus Jack collaboration, more colorways are leaking online. And now, the Air Jordan 4 Raptor themed shoe infuses team colors and will be dropping without Drake imprints. Initially, the shoe was supposed to include Drake’s signature on the tongue beneath the Jumpman logo. However, images of the upcoming release show that the signature is no longer on the shoe at all.

According to sneaker leaker, @pinoe77, the stock level is limited to 26,000 pairs only. Early pairs of the shoe are already selling online. The Air Jordan 4 Raptor retails for $200, although it’s re-selling for more than double the price. It will release at Nike and select Jordan Brand retailers on August 18, 2018.
