What Is Sneaker Botting? – NSB Guide

What Is Sneaker Botting?

Sneaker botting is the process of using automation tools, called bots, to quickly buy limited-edition sneakers online before they sell out. Popular sneaker drops often sell out in seconds due to extremely high demand and low stock. A bot gives you an edge by being faster and more efficient than manual checkout.

A sneaker bot is a software tool that:

  • Monitors a website for product availability.

  • Adds the product to cart immediately when it drops.

  • Fills out your payment and shipping info automatically.

  • Tries to checkout faster than any human can.

Most bots also allow you to run multiple tasks at once, simulating many users trying to buy the item and improving your chances of success.

Step-by-Step Explanation

  1. Purchase and Install the Bot

Once the user buys the bot, they receive access to the software. Most bots come with a user interface (GUI) that makes setup easier.

  2. Learn the Key Concepts

Task: A task is an automated process that tries to buy a specific product. You can think of it like a “virtual shopper” trying to checkout the item you want.

    • Each task targets one product.

    • You can run multiple tasks at the same time to increase your chances.

Proxy: A proxy is like a fake identity on the internet. It lets your bot make multiple requests without getting blocked.

    • Think of a proxy as a new Wi-Fi network or IP address.

    • You need proxies when running multiple tasks, so you don’t get rate-limited or banned.

Input (Keywords, SKU, URL, Variant): This tells the bot what to look for when the product drops. Different sites require different formats:

    • Keywords: Regular words to specify the item: travis jordan.

    • SKU: A unique product code.

    • URL: Direct product link.

    • Variant: Used on some sites to specify size or style.

  3. Setup for the Drop

    • Select the site (e.g. Nike, Shopify, Footlocker…).

    • Add the product info (keywords, SKU, URL…).

    • Choose or add your proxies.

    • Select the accounts if required.

    • Start your tasks close to release time.

  4. Run the Bot
Once the drop starts, the bot begins:

    • Monitoring the site for the product.

    • Adding it to cart.

    • Filling in checkout info.

    • Submitting the order.

If all goes well, you cook 🔥!

Final Notes

  • Botting doesn’t guarantee success, but it massively improves your odds vs manual checkout.

  • Always test your setup before drop day using test tasks (if supported).

  • Learn gradually. Don’t expect to master it on day 1. Even seasoned users lose sometimes.

  • Keep your eye on Discord announcements for release tips, keywords, site-specific tricks, and proxy recommendations.
